Optimist is looking for a Business Development person to build, grow, and nurture relationships with content marketing leaders.

This is not a “sales” role, exactly.
As the Content Strategy Advisor for Optimist, your main goal is to connect with content leaders, have insightful conversations, and convert relationships into sales discussions whenever there may be an opportunity.
You won’t be expected to actually close deals or get contracts signed.
The ideal candidate is outgoing, enjoys connecting with people, and excels at building professional relationships.
You’re organized and self-motivated.
You have senior-level experience (5+ years) leading content marketing and a strong understanding of modern content strategy and the challenges content people face within mid-size and enterprise companies.
You have hired a team of ICs, freelancers, and/or agency partners in the past.
Bonus points if you have first-hand experience navigating tough internal cultures and “managing up” as a content leader yourself.
